Presidential Candidates
It was inevitable: George W Bush now has a blog. The always tasteful and demur Howard Dean blog responded by saying:
[I]nspired by a different Texan, I'd like to issue my own personal response:
Mr. President, I'm a blogger. I know blogs. Bloggers are friends of mine. And your site, sir, is not a blog.We welcome all readers of this new somewhat blog-like site to use this as an open thread to discuss what you think of it, because the Bush folks aren't interested in letting anyone comment.
I bet this is really hurting the Bush campaign. Especially with the Dean blog comments expressing such a diversity of opinion (today's discussion: who can be the most orgasmic about Howard Dean?).
Personally, if I were the president or a presidential candidate I think it'd be dang cool to have my own anonymous blog, instead of one run by staffers, where I could spout off anything I wanted and not have to worry about the press ripping apart every letter.
Incidentally, Lloyd Bentsen lost his campaign.
