The Inability of Man
I find this sadly amazing. Mankind can put people on the moon, level cities and kill millions of people with the drop of one bomb, create artificial human organs, and cure millennia-old diseases. But, when faced with one of the basic forces of nature, its barely possible for us to contain it.

Add State regulations on top of that and you've got a disaster. This is just starting to make the news but the worst of the fire could have been put out shortly after it started. It was spotted from air but a water drop was not allowed since it was several minutes past the state imposed daily time for firefighting flights. They had to wait till morning. YAY GUBMENT!
