Loving and Tolerant?

(AP)
As has been amply reported, the Episcopal church in America has officially installed Gene Robinson as bishop of New Hampshire.
It should be pointed out that, while Robinson and his supporters have declared their actions "loving and tolerant" (those in opposition are thus unloving and intolerant), their actions are fundamentally not loving and tolerant. One would think that the truly loving and tolerant thing for Robinson to do would be to consider others, namely the entire remainder of the Anglican community who are, after all, citing both the word of God and the history of the church for precedent, as more important than himself, see the division and controversy he is causing, and back off.
Instead, the proponents of homosexual bishops have decided that this particular issue is worth trumping legitimate questions and concerns, dividing their church by alienating brothers and sisters, and severely damaging the worldwide testimony of the church. How loving and tolerant is that?
All of this shows, of course, that true tolerance is a complete myth. Everyone has their own set of ideological issues which they believe are worth beating others over the head with.
