I am compelled to blog about this

I remember reading years ago a science fiction short story where man had developed the ability to transmit electricity through the air. This isn't quite there, but its still dang cool.

As a postscript: in the short story the wireless electricity caused all sorts of health problems, causing airplanes to fall from the sky, etc., etc.. The only solution was to obtain the power from another dimension. :)
