You know you NEED to know this

Via Presence are two amusing philosophy and religion quizes.

The Religion quiz was no big surprise. I scored a pretty solid conservative protestant, followed by Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic. No shocker there.

The Philosophy Quiz is a little more interesting. My top five were:

  1. St. Augustine (100%)
  2. Aquinas (86%)
  3. Spinoza (86%)
  4. Kant (68%)
  5. Jean-Paul Sartre (62%)

To get a 100% score on Augustine I'm quite proud of. Aquinas (why was Augustine St. and Aquinas not) and Kant I understand and am pleased with, although Aquinas moreso than Kant. Sartre I'm ambivalent on, but can see (I suspect its my deep sympathy to Kierkegaard manifesting itself). But where the heck did Spinoza come from?

I took it and got

1. Aquinas (100%)
2. Jeremy Bentham (92%)
3. St. Augustine (91%)
4. Spinoza (78%)
5. Nel Noddings (71%)

I spent most of the time really frustrated at the answers. Like the first question, ya, I think they're facts & truths, but not formal/objective truths. I didnt' put "didn't like the answers" on any of them, 'cause I thought I needed to answer with the best approximation. I also didnt' get that value/ranking question underneath each question.
