Wal-Mart going high tech
Reuters - Wal-Mart Stores Inc. said on Thursday it would begin testing digital music downloads on its Web site, joining a list of companies hoping to profit from the growing demand for such services. [Yahoo! News - Technology]
I'm not sure what I think about this. As a general rule of thumb, I hate Wal-Mart. But this will probably help to drive prices down and increase the legitimacy and viability of legal music downloads.
Update: Wired says the music downloads are also edited, which could be an advantage to some.
