What I think Baltimore really needs
is a decent microbrewery in the north or northeast side of Baltimore that offers free wireless Internet access. I know things like this exist elsewhere - Instapundit mentioned one in his hometown, and toad wifi looks like it's trying to add free wireless to businesses in Baltimore.
I have a hotspot account through work that I use at Starbucks frequently. Generally, despite my love-hate relationship with Starbucks it works quite well and provides a good break from working at home all the time.
But, at times, the atmosphere is a little incommodious to working. Yesterday morning I was in Bethesda trying to get some things done before class and found myself surrounded by some sort of middle-age female convention, without another male in sight. It was like I was studying at Bath & Body Works.
This is nothing against middle-age women or Bath & Body Works. I just felt very out of place, like I was intruding on some private, exclusive club whose members were quietly and suspiciously muttering under their breath, waiting for me to leave before they could get to the serious business. Or maybe, deep down, I'm really insecure about my masculinity.
Plus, I like microbreweries.
Of course, if anyone knows of anything like this, please leave something in the comments.
