Xanga and RSS

I just discovered that getting RSS feeds for Xanga blogs is really simple. Just replace the home.aspx in the URL with rss.aspx.

So, the URL for Straight Jacket Spider (my brother in law's blog) would be http://www.xanga.com/rss.aspx?user=puppetitch.

Its just a shame that the feeds are rss 0.91. They pretty useless if you want to use them in planet blogs or decent rss feed readers since each entry doesn't have a date, except in the title, which is kind of useless :-(
