Veering wildly from current events
The NetflixSuite plugins are now installed for all of Terrablogs. An example can be seen over there on the right. Usage and documentation info can be found here.
If anyone else is going to use this, it might be worthwhile to put the plugin on a page that is not rebuilt every time the index is rebuilt. One would then manually rebuild it as needed (I'm using php includes to stick the info on another, manually rebuilt page and then load that into the main page). Otherwise, every time someone posts a comment, MT will be doing a lookup on the Netflix site. That runs the possibility of increasing timeouts and whatnot. I could be wrong, though, and it might not be a big deal at all.
A weakness of the plugin is that, ever time Netflix changes its page format, the plugin will be broken. Thus, it would be nice if Netflix came out with their own version of this. Just a simple Javascript application would be helpful. And, it would be entirely free advertizing for them.
