Minimalistic Blogging

I've been in LA (Long Beach, to be exact) doing database conversions, program conversions, and other such exciting stuff. This is the first time I've had a moment to sit down and blog anything.

I'm staying right next door to the Long Beach Convention Center and so have had a constant stream of conventions all around me. First it was the Jehovah's Witnesses swarming the area and now it's some "Sir Speedy" convention (digital printing, I think). It's all quite fascinating to watch, especially the JW conference since I've been tempted to randomly stop a convention-goer and find out what the attraction is to the Jehovah's Witnesses. I can understand the draw to almost all religions and a good number of cults, but I do not what is appealing about JW, other than the apocalyptic emphasis.

There's plenty of other stuff I'd like to blog at (such as a response to smijer's latest), but I just don't have time. Maybe Friday.

I miss you honey. Come home soon! The grass needs cutting :)

Oh man. I did NOT make a good impression with the crabloggers. I KNEW I should have waited to attend a gathering with you. Apparently I came across as some kind of lone wolf raging philanderer. I suppose philosophical apologetics doesn't mean a whole lot when someone thinks you're trying to "get some." Not good.
