Counting down
We are now less than three weeks away from Amy's due date. The last, final rush to get everything ready for the baby has begun (one of several reasons why posting has been pathetically sparse).
The experience is still surreal. It's as if it was happening to someone else, and I'm just watching, slightly bemused. Of course, I'm not the one with a baby kick-boxing my internal organs.
And, for the record, childbirth classes are very useful, but kind of weird. Any time terms such as "mucous plug" are thrown around on a regular basis, for example, it becomes a little unsettling. Just a little.
February 19, 2005 11:18 AMBefore our first, Greg went crazy every time someone said the word episiotemy. He's mellowed a bit since then...
Pondered by peninah at February 19, 2005 06:37 PMEpisiotomy. Yeah, that's another of those unsettling words.
Pondered by maphet at February 20, 2005 06:11 PMHAHA...I'm right there with you bro. After I first heard about the meucus plug at our first child birthing class I kept whispering to Jenny "you have a meucus plug" in stunned disbelief". It's so wacky the way God designed child-birth.
Good luck, we're about a month behind you. It should be an adventure!
