Miss a month
.. and miss fascinating discussions like this, which is a little like watching a multi-car pileup involving at least two manure-carrying dump trucks.
I have no clear, universal guideline as to when it is appropriate to "answer not a fool according to his folly" and when one should "answer a fool according to his folly"*. And lately I have been tending to think that the reformed tradition has been far too quick to respond to controversies in an indiscriminately unloving and impatient fashion. I am inclined to think, though, at least a little bit of rhetorical vitriol is appropriate in response to such fatuity.

whoa, that's some fancy talkin' pardner. I agree with you in your uncertainty about "answering" and also your desire to tell'em what's what.
