The Fall of Reach Eric Nylund
For some truly deep reading.
The Magician's Nephew C. S. Lewis
We received a nice copy of The Chronicles of Narnia for Christmas to replace the copy I had that was twenty years old and dying rapidly. As I originally remembered it, The Magician's Nephew was my least favorite of the series. However, rereading it as an adult has given some new appreciation to the book. Lewis paints insightful pictures of humanity and creation through his works, and his descriptions of things such as Uncle Andrew's blindness and pride and the initial creation of Narnia were remarkable.
